In the title compound, C(13)H(13)N(3)O, the phenyl and pyrrole rings are inclined at 47.45 (8)°. In the crystal, inter-molecular N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds form R(2) (1)(6) ring motifs. Mol-ecules connected through these hydrogen bonds are arranged into polymeric chains extending along the c axis.

In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via pairs of N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers, which are further connected by C-H⋯π inter-actions.

The crystal structure of the title compound, C(14)H(13)NO, exhibits an E configuration. The conjugated compound is slightly twisted with a dihedral angle of 29.3° between the benzene and pyrrole rings. Two inter-molecular C-H⋯O inter-actions lead to a dimer. In the crystal, intermolecular C-H⋯O interactions generate an inversion dimer.
